Fox News host Greg Gutfeld analyzes actor George Clooney's controversial op-ed calling for President Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race, while another late-night legend, David Letterman, plans to headline a Biden fundraising event.
Hollywood has been abuzz with reactions to actor George Clooney's scathing op-ed urging President Biden to step aside in the upcoming presidential election. While Clooney, a longtime Biden supporter and donor, cited concerns about Biden's mental decline, other Hollywood liberals have also expressed reservations about the president's re-election prospects.
Fox News host Greg Gutfeld has weighed in on Clooney's remarks, offering his own perspective on the situation. "Clooney is just saying now what we've known for years," Gutfeld asserted on his show 'Gutfeld!'. "Biden is too old and too out of touch to be an effective president."

Gutfeld criticized Biden's recent debate performance, which he believes暴露了总统在心理敏锐度方面的缺陷。他说:“我们看到的那个人不在那里了,他根本没有能力领导这个国家。”
However, amidst the growing chorus of Hollywood voices questioning Biden's candidacy, one notable figure is sticking by the president. Late-night comedy legend David Letterman is set to headline a Biden campaign fundraiser later this month.

Letterman's continued support for Biden stands in contrast to the sentiments expressed by Clooney and other Hollywood figures, who have become increasingly critical of the president's leadership.
Sources close to Biden have dismissed concerns about his mental fitness, emphasizing that he remains fully committed to running for re-election. Biden campaign chair Jen O'Malley Dillon declared, "The president's in this race, and he's going to win."

However, a recent poll conducted by Quinnipiac University found that only 39% of Democratic voters approve of Biden's job performance. This has raised questions about whether Biden will be able to secure the party's nomination or prevail over former President Donald Trump in the general election.
Hawaii Governor Josh Green, who will co-host the Biden fundraiser with Letterman, expressed his belief that Biden should remain in the race. "He has been there for us as a family and a state," Green said.
Green acknowledged that Biden may face challenges in the election but maintained that he has the experience and character to defeat Trump. "If the president felt that he wasn't up to it and truly not up to it, he would step down," Green stated.
As Biden's campaign gears up for the 2024 election, the debate over his fitness for office will likely continue, with Hollywood figures playing a prominent role in shaping public opinion.
