Syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt expresses skepticism about Vice President Kamala Harris's ability to be president, citing concerns about her experience and skill set.

Syndicated radio host Hugh Hewitt has taken aim at Vice President Kamala Harris, arguing that she lacks the "minimum skill set necessary" to be president.

In an opinion piece for Fox News, Hewitt raised concerns about Harris's experience before entering politics, as well as her performance in her current role. He noted that Harris had spent much of her career as a prosecutor and California's attorney general, which he claimed did not provide her with the necessary qualifications for the presidency.

Hewitt also criticized Harris's handling of the border crisis and her support for progressive policies, such as the Green New Deal and restrictions on fossil fuels. He argued that these positions would be detrimental to the country and showed Harris was not prepared for the presidency.

The radio host went on to question whether ABC News would provide a fair and balanced debate between Harris and former President Donald Trump, due to alleged bias within the network. He suggested that ABC would focus on "Bud Lite"-level questions that would not challenge the candidates' positions on critical issues.

To overcome this perceived bias, Hewitt proposed that ABC focus on questions related to commander-in-chief responsibilities, such as the withdrawal from Afghanistan, support for Israel, and the killing of Qasem Soleimani. He also suggested questions about immigration, Title IX enforcement, and anti-Semitism on college campuses.

Hewitt maintained that these questions were relevant to the presidency and would allow voters to assess the candidates' suitability for the role. He emphasized the importance of asking both candidates difficult questions to ensure a fair and informative debate.

According to Hewitt, if ABC failed to ask these important questions, it would be seen as "fail[ing]" both the country and its electorate. He predicted that the network and its parent company, Disney, would face a negative verdict from voters if the debate was perceived as biased or superficial.

Hewitt's long and varied career includes teaching Constitutional Law at Chapman University's Fowler School of Law, hosting radio and television shows, and moderating Republican candidate debates. He has also authored a number of books and frequently appears on major news networks as a commentator.

Hewitt's comments come amid growing speculation about Harris's potential presidential ambitions. She has repeatedly declined to comment on whether she will run for president in 2024, but sources close to her have indicated that she is seriously considering it.

However, Harris's low approval ratings and the challenges facing the Biden administration have raised doubts about her chances of winning the presidency. Her supporters argue that she is a qualified and experienced candidate who would make history as the first female president of the United States.
