Wrestling icon Hulk Hogan has revealed that the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump prompted him to break his long-held silence and endorse Trump at the Republican National Convention. Hogan expressed deep concern about the decline of the nation and condemned the attack on Trump as a watershed moment.
Wrestling legend Hulk Hogan made waves at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee last week when he ripped off his shirt to reveal a "Trump Vance Make America Great Again" shirt, signifying his unwavering support for the former President. One week later, at Detroit Lions training camp, Hogan further elaborated on his reasons for speaking out.

Reflecting on his decision to endorse Trump, Hogan stated that the assassination attempt on the former President's life during a rally in Pennsylvania was a turning point for him. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, expressed a profound sense of guilt for having remained silent while witnessing the decline of the country he loved.
"The RNC was kind of intense for me because, you know, I had been silent for so long watching the demise of this beautiful country," Hogan confessed. "I was sickened that I was silent for so long. I actually started to call myself a coward when there are so many like you who don’t speak up."

Hogan admitted that he had been hesitant to publicly display his support for Trump due to fear. However, the assassination attempt jolted him into action, compelling him to break his silence. "All of a sudden, when they tried to assassinate Donald Trump, I said, ‘That’s it. That’s it. I can’t be silent.’ This is not correct. This is not right on any level, even if it was Trump or Biden or Clinton, or anybody, but that is not right."
At the RNC, Hogan channeled his iconic wrestling persona, declaring, "Enough was enough, and I said, let Trump-a-mania run wild, brother. Let Trump-a-mania rule again. Let Trump-a-mania make America great again." He enthusiastically exclaimed, flexing his signature "24-inch pythons," while expressing his belief that Trump could restore the nation to its former glory.
