House Republicans have obtained documents that they claim show Hunter Biden lied under oath multiple times during his congressional deposition earlier this year. The documents, which are protected under IRS code 6103, were obtained by the House Ways & Means Committee and reveal that Hunter Biden lied at least three times during his deposition.

House Republicans have obtained information they say proves "indisputably" that Hunter Biden lied under oath multiple times during his congressional deposition earlier this year.

The House Ways & Means Committee on Wednesday held a mark-up session to discuss documents protected under IRS code 6103 — a portion of the tax code that keeps certain information confidential. Discussing that material without it being properly released by the House Ways & Means Committee is considered a felony.

House Ways & Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith said the documents the committee obtained reveal that Hunter Biden lied at least three times during his deposition.

Smith noted that "lying during sworn testimony is a felony offense that the Department of Justice has prosecuted numerous individuals for in recent years, and the American people expect the same accountability for the son of the President of the United States."

Hunter Biden's attorney Abbe Lowell denied that any of the three instances were actually falsehoods.

"The Committee violated federal law by releasing tax information about a private citizen. It was a political stunt by partisan Republicans," Lowell said in a statement.

Hunter Biden faces trial on June 3 in Delaware on firearm-related charges. His trial in California on tax-related charges has been postponed to September.

The documents obtained by the House Ways & Means Committee are part of a larger investigation into Hunter Biden's business dealings. The committee has been subpoenaing banks, business associates, and other individuals in an effort to gather information about Hunter Biden's finances.

The investigation is part of a larger effort by Republicans to investigate Hunter Biden and his father, President Joe Biden. Republicans have accused the Bidens of corruption, but there is no evidence to support those claims.

The investigation is likely to continue in the coming months, as Republicans seek to use it to damage the Bidens politically.

In addition to the House investigation, Hunter Biden is also facing a criminal investigation by the Department of Justice. The investigation is focused on Hunter Biden's business dealings in Ukraine and China.

Hunter Biden has denied any wrongdoing, but the investigation is ongoing.

If Hunter Biden is convicted of any crimes, he could face significant jail time.

The investigation is a major development in the 2024 presidential election. Republicans are hoping to use it to damage Joe Biden's chances of winning re-election.

The investigation is also likely to be a major focus of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives. Republicans have promised to investigate the Bidens aggressively, and the investigation is likely to be a major part of that effort.

The investigation is a major story with significant implications for the 2024 presidential election and the future of the Biden family.
