The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched successful operations on Sunday, intercepting numerous suspicious aerial targets from Lebanon and neutralizing underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. Despite an incident resulting in minor injuries to IDF personnel, the operations were part of ongoing efforts to thwart threats against Israel and counter Iranian terrorism in the region.

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Sunday that it had successfully located and shot down multiple suspicious aerial targets attempting to cross into Israel from Lebanon. According to an IDF press release, the interceptors effectively knocked the targets to the ground, while a subsequent investigation revealed debris near Kibbutz Ayelet HaShahar.

Following the aerial interception, the IDF identified a false alarm in the upper Galilee region, where sirens had been initially triggered. IDF Spokesperson, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, emphasized that troops were actively deployed in various areas, including the Gaza Strip, Lebanon, Judea, and Samaria, to mitigate potential threats to Israel's security.

In the Gaza Strip, the IDF's primary focus was to neutralize underground infrastructure in the Rafah area and the Philadelphi Corridor. Hagari revealed that dozens of tunnels had been identified and were undergoing investigation, neutralization, and destruction by IDF troops. He clarified that not all tunnels were active, with some being old and previously dealt with by the IDF.

Tragically, Sunday morning witnessed a stabbing attack in the city of Holon, resulting in the deaths of two Israeli citizens and injuries to two others. The perpetrator was swiftly neutralized by a police officer at the scene. Hagari stated that the IDF had thwarted numerous attacks involving Iranian-smuggled explosives, reiterating their determination to combat Iranian terrorism wherever necessary.

On Saturday, the IDF and Israeli Securities Authority (ISA) responded to an alert regarding a terrorist cell in the Tulkarm area of the West Bank. The cell was intercepted and eliminated by an aircraft, preventing a planned attack. Later that day, another IDF operation in Tulkarm resulted in the elimination of four terrorists who had opened fire on Israeli forces.

During the operations, troops seized a substantial cache of firearms, ammunition, and military vests. Hagari attributed the prevalence of these weapons in Judea and Samaria to Iran's ongoing arming and financing of terrorist organizations in the region.

Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari highlighted the ongoing plight of 115 Israeli hostages held captive by the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized the IDF's commitment to securing their safe return, both those alive and those no longer living, to their families in Israel.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza has resulted in significant casualties, with the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry reporting over 39,000 Palestinian deaths and 90,000 injuries. However, it is important to note that this count does not differentiate between civilians and terrorists.
