In a dramatic turn of events, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) successfully rescued an Israeli citizen held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. Simultaneously, the IDF carried out a major operation in the West Bank, targeting militant infrastructure linked to Iran. Nine militants were killed in the operation, as confirmed by IDF spokesman Lt. Col. Nadav Shoshani.

On Tuesday, the IDF and Israel Security Agency (ISA) executed a daring rescue operation in the Gaza Strip, liberating Qaid Farhan Alkadi, a 52-year-old Israeli citizen from Rahat who had been held hostage for nearly a year. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that the operation "joins a series of actions taken by the IDF that bring us closer to achieving the goals of this war."

Three individuals were killed in an airstrike on Tulkarem, four in an airstrike in Al-Faraa, and the remaining two by Israeli soldiers.

Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz stated that the operation aimed to destabilize Iranian "terrorist infrastructure" within the West Bank. "We must deal with the threat just as we deal with the terrorist infrastructure in Gaza, including the temporary evacuation of Palestinian residents and whatever steps are required," Katz wrote. "This is a war for all terms and purposes and we must win it."

Gallant reiterated Israel's commitment to taking every opportunity to return hostages home, stating, "Israel is committed to taking advantage of every opportunity to return the hostages home to Israel."
