Janet Jackson has shared a shocking revelation about a wardrobe malfunction she experienced while performing for the late Queen Elizabeth II. The pop icon disclosed that her pants ripped open during a performance of her hit song "Rhythm Nation."
"I was performing for the Queen of England and we were doing 'Rhythm Nation,'" Jackson, 58, shared with British Vogue. "Sure enough, as soon as I squatted, my pants split, right in my booty crack."

In an attempt to salvage the situation, Jackson quickly adjusted her choreography to avoid facing the queen directly.
"I was so embarrassed," she admitted. "I just kept thinking, 'Oh my God, the Queen is going to see my butt!'"

This wardrobe malfunction occurred prior to Jackson's infamous Super Bowl halftime show with Justin Timberlake in 2004. During that performance, Timberlake famously ripped off part of Jackson's costume, exposing her right breast and a nipple ring.
The Super Bowl incident sparked a major controversy, with Jackson drawing widespread criticism and blacklisting from major networks. Timberlake, however, escaped relatively unscathed.

Jackson's revelation about the wardrobe malfunction during her performance for Queen Elizabeth II highlights the double standard she faced compared to her male counterpart.
In the 2022 A&E documentary "Janet," Jackson expressed her frustration over the disproportionate backlash she received following the Super Bowl incident.
"Honestly, this whole thing was blown way out of proportion," she said. "And, of course, it was an accident that should not have happened, but everyone is looking for someone to blame and that's got to stop."
Jackson and Timberlake have since reconciled, and Jackson has moved on from the controversy. However, her experiences serve as a reminder of the systemic biases and sexism that female celebrities often encounter.
Despite these challenges, Jackson remains a pioneering artist with a loyal fan base. She is currently preparing for the European leg of her Together Again tour.
