GOP vice presidential nominee JD Vance accuses Vice President Kamala Harris of making unrealistic campaign pledges while failing to address current issues.
Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance has vehemently criticized Democratic rival Kamala Harris' campaign promises, labeling them as "absurd" and detached from reality.
Vance's remarks came during an appearance on "The Ingraham Angle," where he challenged Harris' claims that she would address key election issues if elected in November, despite having held office for three-and-a-half years without taking significant action.

"This is the lie at the heart of Kamala Harris' campaign, that if you elect her, she's somehow going to be different than she already has been in office, where her policies have caused higher grocery prices, higher food prices, and of course, a wide-open southern border," Vance asserted.
He further urged Harris to implement her proposed policies immediately, rather than making future promises, as she currently holds power.

CNN anchor Dana Bash had previously confronted Harris on the lack of progress on specific proposals during her tenure. Harris defended her administration's efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, citing job creation and inflation reduction as successes.
Harris outlined her economic agenda in mid-August, including a $25,000 subsidy for first-time homebuyers, price controls for food and groceries, and a $6,000 child tax credit for families with newborns.

However, former President Donald Trump criticized Harris' plan, arguing that price controls have historically failed and would lead to rationing, hunger, and soaring prices.
Vance claimed that Harris' economic agenda is essentially "pro-globalism" and "anti-American worker." He also addressed his unfavorable poll numbers compared to Democratic opponent Tim Walz, stating that he would continue to connect with voters directly rather than relying on scripted appearances.

"I don't put much stock in the polls... What I put stock in is the wisdom of the American people," Vance said, expressing his belief that he and Trump would prevail in the election.
Vance drew a distinction between the media strategies of the Trump-Vance campaign and the Harris-Walz ticket, highlighting his and Trump's preference for unscripted speeches and press conferences over relying heavily on teleprompters.

"We actually like to get out there and give some unscripted remarks, some press conferences, and also just, you know, go out there and talk to people," he explained. "And that's what I'm going to keep on doing."
Vance acknowledged the challenges of the remaining 65 days until the election but expressed confidence in his and Trump's ability to win over voters.
