In the episode, Proulx attempted to answer a clue in the "Waterfalls" category, stating: "What is Bridalveil Falls?"

Host Ken Jennings replied, "I’m sorry, it’s actually Bridalveil Fall, so we couldn’t take that. It is, ‘What is a bridal veil?’"

Proulx, who was the returning champion, ultimately lost the game. However, her incorrect answer on the "Waterfalls" clue did not factor into her loss.

Despite her loss, fans expressed outrage over Jennings' ruling.

One user argued, "Kelly was robbed... Adding the S seems to fall firmly in 'yea, we'll take that' territory."

Another fan echoed this sentiment, stating, "there is nothing pinning the clue to ‘fall’, so she got the required information correct. that was positively disgusting."

Some fans defended Jennings' ruling, arguing that judges were only looking for the name of the article of clothing, "bridal veil."

"By choosing to give extra information in the full name of the location, it was on Proulx to be fully correct, down to the letter," one person explained.

A representative for the show has not yet responded to requests for comment.

This incident follows another recent controversy on "Jeopardy!" involving a clue about actress Zendaya.

In that clue, it was stated that Zendaya "guested on Disney Channel’s ‘Good Luck Charlie'" before "somehow making tennis steamy in 2024."

However, fans pointed out that Zendaya only appeared in one episode of "Good Luck Charlie."

"jeopardy just falsely stated that zendaya starred in 'good luck, charlie," a user wrote online.

"Zendaya was not on ‘Good Luck, Charlie’… right?" another user asked.

"The one crossover episode?" another user questioned.

Zendaya's Disney Channel career began with the series "Shake It Up," which aired from 2010 to 2013. She did appear in a single crossover episode of "Good Luck Charlie."
