Jones filed a countersuit, claiming breach of contract.

After a prolonged legal dispute, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has come to a settlement agreement with a woman claiming to be his biological daughter. Alexandra Davis initiated the lawsuit in March 2022, challenging a financial support agreement allegedly made between her mother and Jones two years after her birth. The purported agreement required secrecy regarding Jones' paternity.

Jones responded with a countersuit, alleging breach of contract. In a significant development, Jones agreed to withdraw his countersuit if Davis dismissed pending lawsuits against him, including one that compelled Jones to undergo a DNA test. As part of the settlement reached on Tuesday, the terms of the 1998 agreement remain in place.

Expressing his relief at the resolution, Jones stated, "It was unfortunate, sensitive to me and my family, but it was resolved. I certainly am where I want to be." He added, "I regret that it came to this, and I’m glad that it is resolved to everyone’s satisfaction."

Davis has since withdrawn her 2022 case and initiated a paternity action that resulted in a court order mandating Jones to provide a DNA sample. She later filed a defamation lawsuit against Jones and his associates, accusing them of falsely labeling her as an extortionist.
