Fox News host Jesse Watters argues that Vice President Kamala Harris' tie-breaking vote on the $2 trillion spending bill contributed to the recent market sell-off and recession fears.
Fox News host Jesse Watters has launched a scathing attack on Vice President Kamala Harris and President Biden, accusing them of economic "incompetence" that has contributed to recession fears and the recent market sell-off.
During his show, "Jesse Watters Primetime," Watters claimed that Harris "detonated the biggest debt bomb in American history" when she cast the tie-breaking vote on the $2 trillion spending bill. He argued that the bill, along with other policies, has led to rampant inflation and a weakening economy.

Watters pointed to Intel, a chip company that recently announced layoffs despite receiving $8 billion from the government. He accused Harris and Biden of "giving away our tax dollars" and "funding an AI bubble that could pop before the election."
He also highlighted the fact that Harris has not given an interview since June, despite the worsening economic situation. Watters questioned her ability to explain complex economic issues, noting that she has never held a job in the private sector.
"She's not even capable of explaining capital markets, labor markets, the global economy," Watters said.
He accused Harris of making reckless statements during budget negotiations with Republicans, suggesting that she had requested $4 trillion in new spending, which was immediately dismissed by Biden.
"Imagine if she had gotten her way," Watters said. "We would be in an even worse situation."
Watters concluded by arguing that the upcoming election will be determined by the economy, and that voters deserve answers from Harris and Biden about their economic policies.
"If today's bloodbath continues, voters deserve answers from 'Hidin' Harris,'" he said.
Watters' criticism of Harris and Biden's economic policies has sparked a lively debate on social media, with many agreeing with his assessment that the current administration has mishandled the economy. However, others have defended Harris and Biden, arguing that they are doing their best to navigate a challenging economic environment.
