In an interview with "The View," First Lady Jill Biden addressed President Biden's declining poll numbers and the criticism he has faced for his perceived anger issues. Defending her husband, she emphasized his calmness and steadiness, comparing him favorably to former President Donald Trump.

"We have a choice," Biden said. "We have a choice, we can have my husband who is calm, and steady and strong and has character and integrity or we have the other choice, which is chaotic. We have to decide. Democracy or chaos."

Biden's comments on her husband's temperament drew immediate criticism from conservative commentators on social media, who questioned the portrayal of President Biden as "calm" and "steady." They pointed to incidents where President Biden appeared to lose his composure, including a 2019 encounter with an Iowa man whom he allegedly called "fat" and a "damn liar."

Since becoming president, there have been multiple reports of President Biden's angry outbursts towards staff and others when not in the public eye. An Axios report detailed how Biden has such a temper that aides try to avoid meeting him alone, fearing his wrath. His admonitions reportedly include "Godd--- it, how the f--- don't you know this?!," "Don't f----ing bulls--- me!" and "Get the f--- out of here!"

In March, the White House dismissed an NBC News report that claimed President Biden is growing anxious and angry about his re-election bid. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan refuted the report, stating, "This is the ‘when did you stop beating your spouse’ question because I don't think he ever did that."

Biden's anger was also evident in February when he reacted to a special counsel report about his handling of classified documents. He dismissed some assertions as "plain wrong" and expressed frustration with questions about his deceased son.

Despite the criticism, Biden's approval ratings have recently seen a slight uptick, reaching 42% in a recent poll. However, the majority of Americans continue to disapprove of his performance as president.

The White House has not responded to a request for comment on Biden's recent remarks or the allegations of his anger issues.
