Despite growing pressure on President Biden to step aside, former press secretary Michael LaRosa says Jill Biden will not make the decision for him.

First lady Jill Biden's former press secretary, Michael LaRosa, has shed light on the inner workings of the Biden household amidst increasing calls for President Biden to退出种族.

"This is his decision," LaRosa stated on "Jesse Watters Primetime" when asked about speculations that the first lady was the driving force behind her husband's refusal to withdraw.

Despite mounting pressure on both Joe and Jill Biden following the president's challenging debate performance, the first family has consistently maintained their intention to remain in the race.

LaRosa emphasized that Jill Biden will not act independently in this crucial decision. "Jill alone won't make this decision," he said. "I don't know if Democrats really want her to be making the decision for the party."

He expressed his belief that Jill Biden would not relish such a role. "I don't think she would want that decision," he said. "I don't think she's comfortable with it."

LaRosa opined that President Biden is unlikely to voluntarily withdraw from the race, suggesting that it would require "a pretty compelling case" to convince him to suspend his campaign.

"She hates politics but she loves him," LaRosa said, describing the relationship between Joe and Jill Biden.

Multiple media outlets, including The Washington Post, have initiated pressure campaigns targeting the Biden family to urge the president to step down.

In letters published in The Post, readers from various states implored Jill Biden to persuade her husband to withdraw from the race, citing concerns about his debate performance.

"We turn to you, Ms. Biden, with our request to urge your husband to end his campaign for the presidency," wrote readers self-identifying as "Democratic women" from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Richard Young, a reader from Lexington, New York, echoed the sentiments of many, stating his agreement with the 72% of registered voters who, according to CBS, believe the president is no longer mentally fit for office.

The Biden campaign declined to comment when contacted by Fox News Digital.
