Beginning his college career at Ohio State, Joe Burrow struggled for playing time, leading him to question his abilities. However, a move to LSU sparked his success, culminating in a Heisman Trophy win and a Super Bowl appearance.
Despite being the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Joe Burrow's path to success was not without its challenges. Prior to his breakout season with the Cincinnati Bengals, Burrow faced adversity during his college days at Ohio State.
Joining the Buckeyes as a highly touted recruit, Burrow rarely saw the field over two seasons, completing only 29 of 39 passes. The lack of opportunities caused him to doubt his abilities. "I thought, 'I'm working so hard, I'm playing really well in practice,' and I felt like nobody was taking notice," Burrow said.

Burrow's confidence dwindled, but he remained committed to his training. "I had so much confidence in the work that I was putting in," he said. "I felt like not a lot of people had confidence in me at that point."
A transfer to LSU proved to be a turning point for Burrow. He quickly adjusted to the Tigers' offense, throwing for 60 touchdowns and over 5,600 yards in his 2019 Heisman Trophy-winning campaign.

Burrow's success translated to the NFL. Despite tearing his ACL in his rookie year, he led the Bengals to the Super Bowl in his second season. The following year, he brought them to the AFC Championship game.
However, a wrist ligament injury ended Burrow's 2022 season prematurely. He has since recovered and is a full participant in training camp, aiming to guide the Bengals to even greater success in 2023.
