Joe Milton Stands Firm: No Position Change in Sight

Despite speculation about a potential move to tight end, Joe Milton insists he has no intentions of abandoning his quarterback aspirations.

The New England Patriots surprised many by selecting two rookie quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft, with No. 3 overall pick Drake Maye and sixth-round selection Joe Milton joining the squad. Milton, who possesses impressive running abilities, has faced suggestions that he could transition to another position in the NFL. However, the young quarterback has made it clear that he has no desire to leave his position under center.

"You are the first person I have actually heard that from, to be real with you," Milton told a reporter who inquired about the possibility of a switch to tight end. "But, that will never happen."

Milton's determination to remain a quarterback stems from his unwavering belief in his skills. Despite facing setbacks and injuries throughout his college career, he remains confident in his ability to succeed at the highest level.

"I have a lot to prove, but I'm ready for the challenge," Milton said. "I know I can play in this league, and I'm going to make the most of this opportunity."
