Justin Baldoni, known for his role in "Jane the Virgin," has opened up about his recent hospital stay. The 40-year-old actor revealed that he spent a week battling an undisclosed infection, expressing his appreciation for the healthcare workers who cared for him and his family.
Justin Baldoni, celebrated for his portrayal of Rafael Solano in "Jane the Virgin," has shared his experience of spending a week in the hospital battling an infection. Through emotional Instagram posts, Baldoni expressed his gratitude towards the healthcare professionals who provided exceptional care, along with his appreciation for the support of his friends and family.
On Monday, Baldoni took to Instagram to share several images, including photos with his daughters and wife, capturing moments from his hospital stay. In the accompanying caption, he wrote, "Nothing like an infection and a week at the hospital to put everything into perspective."
"God is so good. On the mend and feeling grateful," Baldoni added.
The actor then extended his heartfelt thanks to the team of doctors and nurses at St. John's, acknowledging their dedication and compassion. He also expressed gratitude for the prayers, visits, and encouragement from his loved ones.
"To my wife, my soulmate – who is so stubborn she wouldn't leave my side and slept on a bench… I love the s--t out of you. Forever," Baldoni concluded.
Notably, Baldoni did not disclose the details of his infection. Fox News Digital has reached out to his representative for further information.
Prior to his health scare, Baldoni's recent film, "Garfield," premiered in theaters on May 24. The movie is a production of Wayfarer Entertainment Company, which Baldoni co-founded.
Currently, Baldoni is involved in the highly anticipated film adaptation of "It Ends With Us," based on the popular novel by Colleen Hoover. Baldoni serves as the director, producer, and lead actor in the film, which also stars Blake Lively.
Blake Lively's involvement in the project has garnered significant attention, particularly due to the inclusion of Taylor Swift's "My Tears Richochet" in the trailer, which Lively's efforts helped secure. "It Ends With Us" is slated to hit theaters on August 9.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Baldoni expressed his satisfaction with the positive reception surrounding the upcoming film. "I know fans have been waiting a long time for this, and it's a very special book for a lot of reasons — to a lot of women, especially — and our mission is just to do right by them," he stated.
Justin Baldoni's recent hospitalization serves as a reminder of the challenges we may face, but also the importance of seeking professional medical care and expressing gratitude for the healthcare workers who provide exceptional care.
