## Kamala Harris Criticized for Lack of Policy Details in 'Call Her Daddy' Interview
Vice President Kamala Harris's recent interview on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast has drawn criticism for its lack of policy specifics. The interview, which focused on abortion and reproductive rights, is seen as another instance of Harris avoiding traditional media formats for more niche audiences.

Vice President Kamala Harris's decision to grant an interview to the raunchy "Call Her Daddy" podcast rather than traditional media outlets has sparked a debate about her campaign's communication strategy. Critics argue that the interview, which focused on abortion and reproductive rights, lacked substance and served as another example of Harris's reluctance to engage with the mainstream media.
The interview, which is set to air next week, comes as Harris faces criticism for not doing enough traditional news interviews since the start of her presidential campaign in late July. Compared to the Trump-Vance ticket, which has done a combined 63 interviews in that same time frame, Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz, D-Minn., have done only 24.

Harris has also not held a formal press conference since replacing President Biden as the Democratic nominee, while Trump has held five since the beginning of September.
The "Call Her Daddy" podcast, which is hosted by Alex Cooper and reaches a predominantly female audience, has been criticized for its explicit discussions about sex and women's health advice. Axios reported that the vice president's appearance on the podcast is part of her campaign's effort to appeal to women voters and younger audiences.

However, the choice of platform has raised questions about Harris's commitment to engaging with a broader electorate. Some critics argue that the interview will do little to convince undecided voters or address the concerns of those who are critical of her policies or qualifications.
Former President Trump and his running mate JD Vance have also appeared on podcasts to reach younger audiences, but they have done so in a more traditional interview format. Trump recently sat down with podcaster and influencer Theo Von, while Vance did an interview on the Full Send Podcast.
The decision by Harris to opt for a sit-down with a sex-positive podcast generated chatter on social media, with some questioning her judgment. Pro-Trump influencer Collin Rugg shared a clip from the show in which Cooper interviewed a porn star, suggesting that the interview with Harris would be similarly focused on sensationalism rather than substance.
The criticism of Harris's interview on "Call Her Daddy" underscores the challenges she faces in trying to appeal to a wide range of voters. While she may be trying to connect with specific demographics through niche media outlets, her critics argue that she needs to do more to engage with the mainstream media and address the concerns of a broader electorate.
