Vice President Kamala Harris' first TV interview since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee has been analyzed by a body language expert, who concluded that Harris lacked confidence and a presidential demeanor. Susan Constantine, a body language expert, told Fox News Digital that Harris "does not carry the confidence or the presidential appearance in her demeanor to command in her position."

Constantine specifically pointed to Harris' frequent downward glance while responding to questions during the CNN interview. "The fact that she's looking down a lot removes a lot of the fluidity and the authenticity," she said. Additionally, Constantine noted that Harris' head bobbling and lack of clear, concise answers suggested that she was struggling to articulate her thoughts and lacked confidence in her responses.

Constantine also observed that Harris consistently looked to her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, for acknowledgment throughout the interview. "She is looking for that signal from Walz to see if he's on board," she explained. "Many times when we see him, he's got the pressed lips — that tends to be a more serious, more collected, expression in his mouth."

According to Constantine, Harris' overall body language did not convey a sense of power or authority. "As one woman to another, I would say if you're going to be a woman in power, you have to look like a woman in power," she said. "And she doesn't at this time."

Harris' performance in the interview has been met with mixed reactions. Some commentators have criticized her for her perceived lack of confidence and clarity, while others have defended her, arguing that she was simply being thoughtful and measured in her responses.

It is important to note that body language analysis is subjective and can vary depending on the individual's perspective. However, Constantine's observations highlight the importance of non-verbal communication in conveying confidence, authority, and leadership qualities.
