Vice President Kamala Harris has faced criticism and comedic mockery for her tendency to deliver speeches that are often characterized by convoluted language and confusing metaphors. In a recent skit on "The Daily Show," this aspect of Harris's communication style was satirized through the introduction of her "holistic thought advisor."

The skit featured "Daily Show" correspondent Desi Lydic portraying Harris's fictional advisor, Dahlia Rose Hibiscus. Hibiscus explained that she guides Harris's thought process through a method she termed "speaking without thinking."

"It's not about the destination of the thought, it's about the journey and how many words you use to describe the journey," Hibiscus elucidated.

To demonstrate this process, the skit showed Hibiscus cutting out individual words from Harris's staff-written speeches and arranging them in her "word cave" for divine inspiration.

"The feeling they give you is so much more powerful than what they mean," Hibiscus asserted, defending the cryptic nature of Harris's rhetoric.

The skit also took jabs at Harris's habit of repeating herself. In one clip from a public speech, Harris said, "You think you just fell out of a coconut tree? You exist in the context of all in which you live and what came before you."

Hibiscus explained this repetition as a deliberate strategy, saying, "I prefer to leave Kamala's thoughts open to interpretation, like a work of modern art that you look at and go, 'I wonder what that was all about?'"

The comedy show has previously lampooned Harris's speech patterns, comparing her to the fictional political character Selina Meyer from the satirical television series "Veep."

Harris's speech style has drawn criticism from some quarters, with commentators arguing that it makes her difficult to understand. However, her supporters have defended her, saying that her unique way of speaking reflects her legal background and her desire to be precise and thorough.

Regardless of the opinions on Harris's communication style, the "Holistic Thought Advisor" skit provides a humorous take on a topic that has garnered significant attention.
