Hollywood star Keanu Reeves, known for his roles in blockbuster films like "The Matrix" and "John Wick," has embarked on a new career path as a professional race car driver. On Saturday, Reeves made his debut at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the Toyota GR Cup, a support series for this weekend's Indy 8 Hour sports car event.
Hollywood star Keanu Reeves has taken his love of speed and adrenaline to the next level, making his professional racing debut at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday. The 60-year-old actor joined the Toyota GR Cup, a spec racing series that serves as a support event for this weekend's Indy 8 Hour sports car race.
Reeves was behind the wheel of the No. 92 BRZRKR car, promoting his graphic novel "The Book of Elsewhere." His teammate was Cody Jones from "Dude Perfect." The actor qualified 31st of 35 cars on the track and finished 25th in the 45-minute race.

Reeves' race day experience had its share of thrills and spills. Midway through the race, his car spun into the grass on the exit of Turn 9, narrowly avoiding a collision and injury.
Despite the spinout, Reeves' passion for racing was evident. He is a former participant in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach's celebrity race, which he won in 2009.

Reeves' debut in the Toyota GR Cup marks a new chapter in his illustrious career. Off the track, he is working on a sequel to the classic action movie "Speed," which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Reeves is scheduled to attend a screening of the film on Tuesday in Los Angeles alongside his co-star Sandra Bullock.
