In a statement, Spacey declared, "I will not sit back and be attacked by a dying network's one-sided ‘documentary’ about me in their desperate attempt for ratings." He added, "There's a proper channel to handle allegations against me and it’s not Channel 4."

Spacey's comments come as Channel 4 confirms its plans to air the documentary on May 6 and 7 in the UK, with a later release in the United States. The two-part documentary features alleged experiences from 10 men, who are identified only by their first names.

One accuser, named Daniel, claims that Spacey "groped" him while they worked together on the set of "House of Cards." According to Variety, Daniel alleges, "His hand touched my penis. I was inappropriately touched on set at work."

Another actor, known as Scott, accuses Spacey of inviting him to a movie theater and then masturbating during the opening scene. Scott alleges that Spacey attempted to engage him in sexual activity, according to Variety.

Despite Spacey's denial of the allegations, Channel 4 is proceeding with the documentary's broadcast. A spokesperson for the network told Fox News Digital, "We are going ahead and broadcasting."

Spacey has previously faced allegations of sexual misconduct. In 2023, he was acquitted of sexual assault charges in the UK after a four-week trial. However, the allegations have continued to plague his career, leading to his removal from the Netflix series "House of Cards."

Spacey's response to the new documentary has sparked a debate about the role of media outlets in reporting on allegations of sexual abuse.
