Actor and Christian activist Kirk Cameron led the second annual "See You at the Library" event, which drew an unprecedented turnout of 30,000 people across 350 locations. The event aimed to promote wholesome stories of faith and patriotism while honoring American values. Despite efforts to set a world record, Guinness World Records reportedly failed to attend or respond to requests.

In the face of opposition and bans, actor and Christian activist Kirk Cameron and conservative book publisher BRAVE Books have achieved a resounding success with their second annual "See You at the Library" event. This nationwide gathering brought together families to pray, sing the "National Anthem," and celebrate wholesome stories of patriotism and faith.

With an estimated turnout of 30,000 people across 350 story hour locations, the event surpassed last year's inaugural gathering. Cameron and BRAVE Books hoped to set a world record for the largest children's library story hour, but their applications and requests to Guinness World Records went unanswered.

"After three attempts at submitting our application, we never heard back despite their promises to respond 'shortly,'" Cameron wrote in a post to X, sharing screenshots of their application and emails. "Our applications mysteriously disappeared from our account."

Cameron criticized Guinness World Records for providing services for drag queen story time during Pride Month but allegedly ignoring requests for a record-setting event that promoted family values. "It's a shame we won't be able to set a record for family story time attendance with Guinness considering they did provide their services for drag queen story time during pride month," he said.

Despite the setback, Cameron remained undeterred. "Nonetheless we will still gather and set our own record, a record that will be amplified across the media showing that American families are ready for a revival in our libraries and nation," he wrote.

Cameron launched See You at the Library with Brave Books after libraries allegedly banned Brave Book story hours because they did not align with their "values." Yet, despite the pushback, thousands of families continued to attend the readings. This inspired the creation of the national event, organized by moms and dads across the country.

"I went to three of them yesterday and we were overwhelmed with people who just love God, love their family and love this country," Cameron said. "I'm so thankful that the values they're celebrating are the values that made this such a great country; like faith and morality, education, law and liberty."

The event also celebrated the mission of BRAVE Books, which aims to publish and distribute children's books that promote traditional values and biblical principles. The company is led by Andrew Kern, a former pastor who believes that children are being indoctrinated by progressive and secular ideologies.

"We want to equip parents to have conversations with their kids about what they're learning in school," Kern said. "We want to provide resources for parents to help them teach their kids about God, about their faith, and about the real history of our country."

The nationwide success of See You at the Library demonstrates the growing demand for wholesome and patriotic content for children. Parents are seeking alternatives to the prevailing cultural narratives that often clash with their own values. By providing a platform for faith-based and patriotic stories, Cameron and BRAVE Books are fulfilling this need and inspiring families to embrace traditional American virtues.
