Former President Donald Trump's daughter-in-law and Republican National Committee (RNC) co-chair candidate, Lara Trump, has asserted that the Republican Party's leadership is currently guiding the country better than the current administration.

In an interview with Fox News, Lara Trump stated that Donald Trump is "the only leader who was on that stage" during the recent presidential debate, referring to the debate between Trump and President Joe Biden. She also claimed that under Trump's leadership, "our borders were secure, people had more money in their pockets, it was cheaper to go buy gas, and we felt safer on the world stage."

Lara Trump believes that Donald Trump's policies and leadership qualities are what the nation needs at this time. She expressed confidence that Trump would defeat both Biden and Kamala Harris in a hypothetical matchup. However, she also acknowledged the possibility of Democrats replacing Biden with someone other than Harris.

"If they decide right here in the 11th hour to plug somebody else in, and it's not Kamala Harris, I can't think of a bigger assault to our democratic process than doing just that," she said.

Lara Trump's comments come amid rumors and speculation that Democrats may consider replacing Biden with another candidate due to his declining poll numbers and concerns about his mental fitness. Some Democrats have expressed concerns about Biden's performance in the debate, calling for him to step aside and allow another party member to take his place.

Despite these calls, the Biden campaign has insisted that the president has no plans to step down and will participate in future debates with Trump.

"Donald Trump is the only way we get this country back," Lara Trump said. "We know how secure our borders were, how much more money people had in their pockets, how much cheaper it was to go buy gas, how much safer we felt on the world stage when Donald Trump was there, and people want him back in office."

Democrats, on the other hand, face their own set of challenges. Lara Trump believes that Kamala Harris is not a strong candidate and that the party has a "huge problem" on their hands.

"Kamala Harris polls just about as bad, if not worse in a lot of cases, than Joe Biden," she said.

Harris has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Biden, along with California Governor Gavin Newsom and former First Lady Michelle Obama. However, it remains to be seen whether the Democrats will ultimately decide to replace Biden or stick with him as their nominee.
