Fox News host Laura Ingraham has launched a scathing attack on Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz, accusing him of "rank dishonesty" in connection with his military service.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham has shredded Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Walz's "rank dishonesty" regarding his military service on "The Ingraham Angle."

Ingraham has raised concerns about Walz's claims about his military rank and his decision to retire from the Minnesota National Guard before deploying to Iraq.

"The Tim Walz stolen valor controversy made me remember one of those old New England expressions my mom used to say," Ingraham said. "Watch what you say. You don't want to leave people with the wrong impression."

Walz initially announced his intention to deploy to Iraq as a Command Sergeant Major, but later retired before receiving official deployment orders.

Ingraham highlighted Walz's statement at the time: "As Command Sergeant Major, I have a responsibility not only to ready my battalion for Iraq, but also to serve if called on."

However, on May 16, 2005, Walz retired from the National Guard with the rank of master sergeant, two months before his former battalion received official deployment orders.

Ingraham criticized Walz's decision to retire before deployment, despite his previous statements.

"Now, even though he had the right, of course, to retire after 20 years, that obviously left a very bad taste in the mouths of some of his fellow guardsmen," Ingraham said.

Walz's actions have drawn criticism from fellow veterans, who have accused him of misleading the public about his military service.

Ingraham's comments come as Walz faces increased scrutiny over his military record.

Walz's campaign has defended his service, stating that he was eligible for retirement and that his decision not to deploy was based on personal circumstances.

However, Ingraham's allegations have raised questions about Walz's integrity and his fitness for office.

Ingraham's attack on Walz is the latest in a series of controversies surrounding the Democratic vice presidential candidate.

Walz has also faced criticism for his handling of the George Floyd protests in Minnesota and his support for various liberal policies.

The allegations against Walz could potentially damage his chances of winning the election, as voters may question his trustworthiness and his ability to serve as a leader.
