Fox News host Laura Ingraham argues that the various cases against former President Trump are losing credibility and momentum.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham has declared that the credibility of the various cases against former President Donald Trump is crumbling. On her show, "The Ingraham Angle," Ingraham asserted that the lawfare strategy employed against Trump was a losing proposition from the outset.
Ingraham cited the recent postponement of the classified documents case by Judge Aileen Cannon as evidence of the cases' demise. She emphasized that the trial could not commence as originally scheduled because the Manhattan case against Trump was unlikely to be concluded by that time.
Ingraham also highlighted the Georgia Court of Appeals' decision to review Trump's bid to disqualify Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. She contended that this move could lead to further delays in the "fraudulent" case against Trump.
"One by one, the cases that they thought would substitute for an actual Biden campaign, well, those cases are collapsing," Ingraham declared.
She suggested that there was a possibility that a higher court could intervene and alleviate the burden on Willis.
Ingraham's comments come amidst growing scrutiny of the legal challenges facing Trump. Critics have accused his legal team of employing delay tactics and seeking to undermine the credibility of the investigations against him.
Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing and has characterized the cases against him as politically motivated witch hunts.
The postponement of the classified documents case has raised concerns about the potential for a prolonged legal battle. The case involves the investigation into Trump's handling of classified materials after he left office.
The Georgia case against Trump centers on allegations of election interference during the 2020 presidential election. Trump has denied these allegations and has accused Willis of overreach.
As the cases against Trump progress, it remains to be seen whether they will ultimately result in criminal charges. However, Ingraham's assessment suggests that the legal challenges facing the former president are becoming increasingly difficult to sustain.
