The model and younger sister of Kate Moss urges caution due to severe side effects from the weight-loss drug, including dehydration, vomiting, and seizures.

Lottie Moss, the 26-year-old model and younger sister of Kate Moss, has issued a stark warning to anyone considering using Ozempic, a weight-loss drug that has been widely used for its appetite-suppressing effects. Lottie's warning comes after she was rushed to the hospital following a seizure due to dehydration caused by severe side effects from the medication.

In an episode of her podcast, "Dream On with Lottie Moss," Lottie revealed that she had taken Ozempic for two weeks "a few months ago" after struggling with her weight. However, she had not received proper medical supervision or undergone the necessary tests before starting the medication.

"It was kind of below board... It was from a doctor, but it wasn't like you go into a doctor's office, and he prescribes it for you, he takes your blood pressure and takes tests, which is what you need when you go on something like Ozempic," Lottie explained.

Due to her lack of proper medical guidance, Lottie took a dosage that was intended for individuals significantly larger than her frame. According to Lottie, "the amount that I was taking was actually meant for people who are [220 pounds] and over, and I'm in the [110] range." This improper dosage led to a rapid weight loss of nearly 20 pounds, which Lottie described as "not a healthy weight loss."

Lottie experienced severe nausea, vomiting, and was unable to retain any food or water. Her condition worsened to the point where she had to be taken to the emergency room, where she suffered a seizure due to dehydration. Lottie stated, "I felt so sick one day I said to my friend, 'I can't keep any water down, I can't keep any food down, no liquids, nothing. I need to go to hospital, I feel really sick.'"

Lottie expressed deep regret for her decision to take Ozempic without proper medical supervision. "When I tell you it was the worst decision I ever made, so if this is a warning to anyone: Please, if you're thinking of taking it, do not take it, it's so not worth it," she said. "I would rather die any day than take that again. It made me feel so nauseous."

Ozempic, originally developed for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes, has gained popularity as a weight-loss aid due to its ability to suppress appetite. However, it is important to note that the medication should only be used under the strict supervision of a healthcare professional.

A spokesperson for Ozempic manufacturer Novo Nordisk emphasized, "Ozempic® (semaglutide injection) is for patients with type 2 diabetes and is a prescription-only medicine, meaning that it must be prescribed by a health care professional and should be taken as prescribed under their strict supervision."

The spokesperson added, "Patient safety is our top priority at Novo Nordisk. We work closely with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and all regulatory agencies around the world to continuously monitor the safety profile of our medicines."

Lottie's cautionary tale serves as a reminder that prescription medications should always be taken with proper medical supervision to minimize the risk of adverse side effects. Individuals considering using Ozempic or any other weight-loss drug should consult with their healthcare professional to determine the appropriate dosage and plan for monitoring and support.
