Former President Obama's half-brother, Malik Obama, has announced his support for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Malik explained his reasons for leaving the Democratic Party and his belief that Trump will emerge victorious in November.
Malik Obama, the half-brother of former President Barack Obama, has broken ranks with the Democratic Party to endorse Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election. In an interview with Fox News Digital, Malik expressed his admiration for Trump's strength and his belief that the former president will secure a second term.
Malik Obama: "Trump is a Strong Person, and I Like That
"I'm supporting President Trump," Malik stated. "I've been a supporter since 2016. I like him. I like the way he comes across. I like his demeanor. I like his straightforwardness. And I think he's good for the country."
Malik's decision to back Trump stems from his growing disillusionment with the Democratic Party. "I fell out with them because they're hypocrites," he declared. "They've been treating Mr. President Trump horribly. I'm not seeing anything like that in my life."

Malik pointed to the Democrats' treatment of Trump and their handling of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign as examples of their hypocrisy. "They did it with Hillary, Hillary Clinton, and they were lying," he said. "And, you know, they're just hypocrites. And, you know, they're not straightforward."
Malik also expressed his disapproval of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. "Old man" Biden, he said, "can't even find the door" and "is a joke." Regarding Harris, he added, "She's talking about freedom of, what is it? Reproductive freedom is abortion."

In contrast to his half-brother Barack, Malik views Trump as a strong and decisive leader. "He's known for his mettle, his strength, and I like that," he said. "He's a no-nonsense guy. He's a businessman, so he knows how to run a big organization."
Malik believes that Trump's qualities will resonate with voters in 2024. "I just say President Trump, you're going to win in November 2024," he said. "You're going to win. And I think you're going to win by a landslide."

Malik's support for Trump is a significant blow to the Democratic Party, which has traditionally relied on the support of Black voters. His endorsement underscores the growing frustration with the party among some African Americans.
Malik's estrangement from his half-brother is evident in his assessment of Barack Obama's presidency. "He did zilch for his family," Malik said. "I'm not saying he didn't do anything for the country, but he didn't do anything for his family."
Malik's endorsement of Trump is likely to further polarize the political landscape in the United States. It remains to be seen whether his support will sway other African American voters and help Trump secure a victory in 2024.
