A Florida man faces charges after allegedly stealing a car with a child in the backseat and leaving her on the side of the road.
In a shocking incident, a Florida man has been arrested and charged with carjacking and kidnapping after he allegedly stole a car with a child in the backseat and abandoned her on the side of the road. The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Lonnie Hinton, was later released from state prison earlier this year.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in Lake Elsinore, California, where deputies responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon at a Walmart store. Upon arrival, they found 65-year-old Jessica Morales, a Walmart employee for over 25 years, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Despite medical attention, Morales succumbed to her injuries at the store.

Co-workers of Morales expressed shock and devastation, describing her as a kind and beloved member of the Walmart family. Morales had resided in nearby Menifee.
Hinton, a California parolee, was released from prison earlier this year, having previously served time for robbery. He was on parole at the time of the fatal stabbing. Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the unprovoked attack.

In a statement, Walmart expressed its condolences and support to Morales's family and announced that the store would remain closed during the police investigation. The retail chain is cooperating with authorities and providing support to its associates.
Hinton was arrested on suspicion of murder and booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center. He has been charged with randomly stabbing a Walmart employee to death, highlighting the tragic consequences of random violence and the ongoing need for public safety.
