Cardinals fans eagerly awaiting Marvin Harrison Jr. jerseys will have to wait a little longer as the star wide receiver has yet to sign an NFLPA licensing agreement.
Marvin Harrison Jr.'s journey to the NFL has hit a slight snag, as the Arizona Cardinals have been unable to offer his jerseys for sale due to a pending NFLPA licensing agreement. The lack of agreement means that fans will have to wait before they can purchase jerseys bearing the coveted No. 4 overall pick.
Just hours before Harrison's name was called on the NFL Draft stage on Thursday night, it was reported that he had not signed the preliminary NFLPA licensing agreement, which typically allows players to monetize their name and likeness after being drafted but before formally signing an NFL contract.

This licensing agreement has become a standard practice for the NFL and NFLPA, ensuring that players receive compensation for the use of their name and likeness on merchandise and other products. Without this agreement in place, the NFL and retailers such as Fanatics are prohibited from selling jerseys or other merchandise bearing Harrison's name.
The Cardinals, along with other NFL teams, rely heavily on merchandise sales as a significant source of revenue. The lack of Harrison jerseys available for purchase represents a missed opportunity for the team and its fans.

Fanatics, the leading sports merchandise retailer in the United States, has acknowledged the situation and has released a statement informing Cardinals fans that Harrison's merchandise will not be available for purchase until he signs the licensing contract.
"Hey Cardinals fans: Currently, Fanatics and other retailers are not able to offer Marvin Harrison Jr. merchandise until he signs a licensing contract with the NFLPA. Products will be immediately available once he signs," Fanatics stated in a post on Twitter.
According to ESPN, Harrison is one of a small number of draft picks who have not yet signed the licensing agreement. The reasons for not signing can vary, with some players preferring to wait until they have a formal contract with their team before committing to a licensing deal.
The good news for Cardinals fans is that Harrison has indicated a willingness to sign the agreement, and it is expected to be a formality at this point. Once the agreement is signed, Fanatics and other retailers will be able to begin producing and selling Harrison jerseys, allowing fans to show their support for their new wide receiver.
Harrison, who caught 67 passes for 1,211 yards and 14 touchdowns in his final season with the Ohio State Buckeyes, is set to become a key target for quarterback Kyler Murray in the Cardinals' offense.
"Kyler's awesome," Harrison said after being drafted by the Cardinals. "You look at his record from high school, and he's always won, and that's the kind of guy I want to play with. He's just so dynamic of a quarterback, and I just want to go in there and make his job easier."
The Cardinals are hoping that Harrison can make an immediate impact on their offense and help them reach the playoffs for the first time since 2015. With his immense talent and the potential to sign a licensing agreement soon, Harrison is poised to become a fan favorite and a key piece in the Cardinals' rebuild.
