However, his thoughts quickly turned to his nine-year-old son, and he immediately resolved to fight for more time. After a full examination, doctors suggested surgery to remove his entire prostate, which Richards underwent to contain the cancer.

The actor attributes his decision to publish his memoir not only to his cancer experience but also to the accumulation of stories throughout his life. With over 40 journals spanning several years, Richards found an opportunity to reflect on his past and connect with his memories.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Richards discussed the evolution of his character Kramer and other behind-the-scenes revelations included in his memoir. He emphasized that the book will not shy away from addressing his racist rant, acknowledging its lasting impact and his ongoing journey towards reconciliation.

Richards' memoir promises to offer a candid and introspective look into the life of a man who has faced both adversity and triumph. By sharing his experiences, he hopes to connect with readers on a personal level and inspire them to confront their own challenges with resilience.
