Now, Richards is preparing to release his memoir, "Entrances and Exits," which will delve into his private life, including his battle with prostate cancer. In an interview with People magazine, Richards revealed his devastating diagnosis in 2018. Upon learning the news, Richards initially accepted his fate, believing his time had come.

However, his thoughts quickly turned to his nine-year-old son, and he immediately resolved to fight for more time. After a full examination, doctors suggested surgery to remove his entire prostate, which Richards underwent to contain the cancer.

The actor attributes his decision to publish his memoir not only to his cancer experience but also to the accumulation of stories throughout his life. With over 40 journals spanning several years, Richards found an opportunity to reflect on his past and connect with his memories.

In addition to revealing his cancer battle, Richards' memoir will also address his infamous racist rant in 2006.
