"Everybody go out there and vote. I commend that, and I just tell a lot of people to go out there and vote because we need it for this election," Reese said.
While Reese did not specifically endorse Vice President Kamala Harris, who is seeking the Democratic nomination for president, she expressed admiration for former first lady Michelle Obama following her speech at the DNC.

"That’s why we must do everything in our power to elect two of those good, big-hearted people. There is no other choice than Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. No other choice," Obama added.
Reese's comments come after Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr also spoke at the DNC, urging Americans to vote in the upcoming election.

"I know very well that speaking out about politics these days comes with risks. I can see the ‘shut up and whistle’ tweets being fired off as we speak. But I also knew as soon as I was asked that it was too important as an American citizen not to speak up in an election of this magnitude," Kerr said.
Kerr's comments drew criticism from the Trump campaign, which highlighted his previous silence on China's human rights violations.
Despite the potential risks of speaking out politically, Reese and Kerr have used their platforms to encourage Americans to vote.
With less than two months until Election Day, the importance of voting is paramount. As Reese said, "We need it for this election."
