After a two-week search, the body of missing student Riley Strain has been recovered from the Cumberland River in Nashville. Meanwhile, a New Jersey woman visiting the city was found alive after "emerging" from a riverbank.

Police said there were no signs of trauma or foul play, and an investigation is ongoing.
Strain, a 22-year-old University of Tennessee student, was last seen leaving a Nashville bar on July 24.

His body was found on Thursday morning by a group of kayakers.
Strain's family had been holding out hope that he would be found alive, but they are now devastated by his loss.

"We are heartbroken to announce that our beloved son, Riley Strain, has been found deceased," the family said in a statement. "We want to thank everyone who helped in the search for Riley and who supported us during this difficult time."
Strain's father, Erik, said his son was a "loving and kind young man."
"He had a bright future ahead of him," Erik Strain said. "We are going to miss him so much."
The Nashville Metropolitan Police Department (NMPD) is investigating Strain's death.
A New Jersey woman who was reported missing in Nashville has been found alive after "emerging" from a riverbank.
Alexandria Chmiel, 33, was visiting Music City with a friend when she went missing early the morning of July 25.
She was found on Thursday morning by police officers who were searching the riverbank near 1st and Woodland Avenue.
Chmiel was taken to the hospital for evaluation, but she did not sustain any serious injuries.
Police said there was no foul play involved in Chmiel's disappearance.
Chmiel's family and friends are relieved that she has been found safe.
"We are so grateful that Alexandria has been found alive," said her mother, Mary Chmiel. "We want to thank everyone who helped in the search for her."
The NMPD is still investigating Chmiel's disappearance.
