'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet has been accused of being "nasty" during an interview with podcaster Taylor Strecker, who claims he was only interested in promoting his partnership with Pepto-Bismol.

'Modern Family' star Eric Stonestreet is facing allegations of being "nasty" and dismissive during an interview with podcaster Taylor Strecker.

Strecker made the claims on "Summer House" star Paige DeSorbo's Amazon Live show, revealing that Stonestreet had been a guest on her "Taste of Taylor" podcast. She described Stonestreet's demeanor as "nasty," saying he was only interested in discussing his partnership with Pepto-Bismol.

According to Strecker, Stonestreet abruptly asked about Pepto-Bismol during the interview, despite not being paid to do so. When Strecker questioned why he was bringing up the product, Stonestreet allegedly accused her of not doing her homework.

"I said, 'I'm sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? The answer is no. So that's your job to figure out, not mine,'" Strecker said.

DeSorbo joked that they would be contacting Stonestreet's "Modern Family" co-star Sofia Vergara to get her perspective on the matter. Strecker's podcast episode with Stonestreet is reportedly not available online.

Stonestreet's representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The clip of Strecker and DeSorbo discussing Stonestreet was shared on Amazon Live's official TikTok account, sparking reactions from "Modern Family" fans. Many expressed disappointment and disbelief, while others shared their own alleged experiences with Stonestreet's unwelcoming behavior.

In 2017, Stonestreet acknowledged that his real personality differs significantly from his flamboyant character, Cameron Tucker, on "Modern Family." He admitted that he is more "lowkey, dead-pan," which can sometimes lead to disappointment when fans meet him in person.

"I didn't realize how much I compete with the character I play on TV," Stonestreet said at the time. "When I meet people out on the street it used to be like 'Are you not feeling very well? Is there something wrong with you?' Well no, this is just my personality."

Despite his recent allegations, Stonestreet remains a popular figure in the entertainment industry. He has received numerous awards and nominations for his work on "Modern Family," including two Emmy Awards and three Screen Actors Guild Awards.
