Tiffany Justice, co-founder of Moms for Liberty, raises concerns about the Biden administration's recent Title IX modifications, arguing that they infringe on parents' involvement in their children's education.

Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice expressed her apprehensions regarding the Biden administration's revised Title IX rules, emphasizing their potential to erode parental rights.

"These adjustments are an affront to parental authority," Justice stated. "Parents have the primary responsibility for their children's upbringing and education, and the government should not infringe upon that right."

Justice's concerns stem from the expansion of Title IX's definition of sex discrimination to encompass gender identity and sexual orientation. Such an expansion, she claims, could lead to the creation of school policies that conflict with parental values.

"For example," Justice explained, "schools could allow transgender students to use restrooms and locker rooms that align with their gender identity, even if those choices make other students uncomfortable."

She also expressed concerns about the rule's impact on sports, suggesting that it could provide an unfair advantage to transgender athletes competing in female sports.

"Biological males who identify as female could potentially have a physical advantage over biological females, which could undermine the integrity of girls' sports," Justice asserted.

Justice emphasized that Moms for Liberty strongly supports protections for LGBTQ+ students, but believes that the administration's Title IX changes overstep the appropriate boundaries.

"We want all students to feel safe and included in school," Justice said, "but we don't believe that this should come at the expense of parental rights or the safety and fairness for all students."

Moms for Liberty is joining other conservative groups in challenging the Title IX modifications, filing lawsuits in various states. The group maintains that the changes were implemented without sufficient public input and that they infringe upon the rights of parents and students alike.

A federal judge has already blocked the implementation of the changes in four states, ruling that the Biden administration's actions constituted an "abuse of power." The judge emphasized that the separation of powers and checks and balances exist for a reason and that executive agencies cannot unilaterally make such sweeping changes.

The lawsuits and legal challenges are expected to continue as the debate over the Title IX changes intensifies. Moms for Liberty and other conservative groups remain determined to defend parental rights and ensure that the rights of all students are protected.
