Holihan stated that the motive for the shooting is still under investigation and that it is too early to determine a specific cause.

"I'm appalled by yet another incident of violence in my district staining our city streets with blood and depriving our residents and neighbors of peace of mind," Siegel added.

The incident has sparked concerns about community safety and the need to address gun violence in the city.

According to a statement from the Dominican Festival Committee, the festival has been canceled for the remainder of the weekend out of respect for the victims and their families.

The community is urged to cooperate with law enforcement as the investigation continues. Tips and information can be shared anonymously by calling the Allentown Police Department's tip line at (610) 437-7753 or by using the anonymous tip line website at www.allentownpa.gov/policetips.
