Rafael Nadal, returning to tournament finals for the first time since the 2022 French Open, has emerged victorious in the semifinals of the clay-court Nordea Open. Battling through a grueling match that lasted nearly four hours, the 38-year-old Spaniard overcame Duje Ajdukovic 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Nadal's opponent, Ajdukovic, presented a formidable challenge with his exceptional backhand, making it a particularly difficult match for Nadal. "It was very, very difficult, honestly," Nadal admitted. "But I found a way to survive and be through to that final after a long time without being in a final. So that's great news, and I'm very happy with that."
