Dramatic helicopter footage captures the moment Nashville police officers tackled a fugitive on the run for a murder that occurred over a year ago. The suspect, 30-year-old Tyrone Walker, was apprehended following a high-speed chase and foot pursuit.
On an overcast night in Nashville, Tennessee, the city's police department deployed a helicopter crew to assist in the apprehension of a fugitive wanted for murder. The target of their pursuit, 30-year-old Tyrone Walker, had been evading authorities for over a year in connection with the August 2021 killing of 39-year-old Cecil Holmes Jr.

Using night vision, the helicopter crew tracked Walker's movements as he rode around the Edgehill area in a gold SUV. As the vehicle approached the exit of a housing development, detectives on the ground deployed a spike strip.
As the SUV's tires punctured, a person later identified as Walker exited the vehicle and fled on foot. A pursuing officer gave chase, ultimately tackling Walker and taking him into custody.
