A new memorial in Westminster, Indiana, honors the nine identified victims and countless unidentified others of the notorious Fox Hollow Farm serial killings of the 1990s. The memorial, dedicated by the Hamilton County Coroner's Office and the He Knows Your Name ministry, serves as a solemn reminder of the horrors that unfolded on the sprawling 18-acre estate of serial killer Herb Baumeister.
Thirty years after the gruesome discovery of thousands of human remains on Herb Baumeister's Fox Hollow Farm property, the Westminster community has finally come together to publicly honor the victims of Indiana's notorious serial killings. On Thursday, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Coroner's Office, along with the He Knows Your Name ministry, dedicated a memorial to the nine identified victims and the countless others who remain unidentified.

The memorial, located on the grounds of the former Fox Hollow Farm, features a plaque with the names of the known victims: Jeffrey Allen "Jeff" Jones, Allen Lee Livingston, Manuel Resendez, John Lee "Johnny" Bayer, Richard Douglas Hamilton Jr., Steven Spurlin Hale, Allen Wayne Broussard, Roger Allen Goodlet, and Michael Frederick "Mike" Keirn. It also includes a designated space for the unidentified victims to be remembered.
Linda Znachko, founder of He Knows Your Name, an Indiana-based ministry for the unidentified deceased, played a pivotal role in creating the memorial. She connected with Hamilton County Coroner Jeffrey Jellison, who inherited the Fox Hollow Farm case and has dedicated himself to identifying the unknown victims.

"The complexity and the amount of remains they have, which is over 10,000 stored, is second only to 9/11," Znachko said. "And the intricacy and the amount of manpower that this investigation is continuing to need and require, plus money to do pathology and all the DNA work, is just huge."
The memorial, made possible through a partnership between He Knows Your Name and the Coroner's Office, not only honors the victims but also provides a place of closure for their families. The organization purchased an outdoor sculpture from Canadian artist David Perrett, which now stands as a testament to the lives lost.

"My organization purchased an outdoor sculpture from an artist in Canada [David Perrett], and we placed it today with the [victims'] names listed with an opportunity for more names to go on that list if more are there and also place an ossuary there so that any future remains or any family member that would like to use that ossuary and have their loved one buried right there at that memorial site, and free of charge," Znachko explained.
Jellison, who became coroner after the initial investigation into the Fox Hollow Farm killings, expressed his gratitude to He Knows Your Name and the families of the victims for their support in creating the memorial.

"While this is an ongoing investigation, we feel now is the time to properly and publicly remember these members of our community," Jellison said at a press conference for the event. "We are proud to partner with He Knows Your Name to further their mission to provide dignity and a final resting place, regardless of their circumstance."
Matthew Pranger, the cousin of identified victim Allen Lee Livingston, attended the memorial and shared his thoughts on the significance of the event.

"The memorial service yesterday, I believe, did give justice to those who either have been identified or have yet to be identified," Pranger told Fox News Digital.
He added that he hopes the memorial will encourage families of other unidentified victims to come forward and provide DNA samples to help identify them.

"We would like to have as many people come forward that may have any connection whatsoever to this case to try to identify other potential victims," he explained. With DNA technology continuing to advance, authorities are hopeful that the number of identified victims will increase in the near future. Currently, only nine out of the potentially dozens of victims have been named.

Authorities believe Baumeister, who fled to Canada and died by suicide in 1996, killed dozens of men between the 1980s and 1990s. The discovery of over 10,000 pieces of human remains on his property sent shockwaves throughout the nation and remains one of the largest serial killing cases in American history.
The memorial at Fox Hollow Farm serves as a haunting reminder of the darkness that can lie hidden within a community. It is a testament to the resilience of the victims' families and the unwavering determination of those working to bring closure to this tragic chapter in Indiana's past.
