Nick Wright, a former ESPN host, thinks that the Cincinnati Bengals are not the team to beat in the AFC, despite what their wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase said. Wright says that the Bengals' loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 is proof that they are not as good as people think.

Chase said after the game that the Bengals are "the team to beat" in the AFC, but Wright thinks that's a ridiculous statement.

"That's the worst take of the year," Wright said on his show, First Things First. "The Bengals are not the team to beat in the AFC. They're not even the second-best team in the AFC. They're not even the third-best team in the AFC."
Wright pointed to the Bengals' loss to the Chiefs as proof that they are not as good as people think. The Bengals lost 27-24 to the Chiefs, and Wright said that the Chiefs were the better team for most of the game.

"The Chiefs were the better team for most of that game," Wright said. "The Bengals were lucky to be in the game at the end. They got away with one."
Wright also said that the Bengals have a lot of weaknesses that could prevent them from winning a Super Bowl.

"The Bengals have a lot of weaknesses," Wright said. "Their offensive line is not good enough. Their defense is not good enough. And their quarterback, Joe Burrow, is not good enough."
Wright said that the Bengals are a good team, but they are not the team to beat in the AFC.
"The Bengals are a good team," Wright said. "But they're not the team to beat in the AFC. They're not even close to being the team to beat in the AFC."
