*NSYNC star Chris Kirkpatrick has long been a part of the music industry, but it was only eight years ago that he and his family made the decision to swap bustling Orlando for the charm and allure of Nashville, Tennessee. In an exclusive interview with Fox News Digital, Kirkpatrick opened up about his unexpected journey and the reasons why he and his wife, Carly, finally decided to make Music City their forever home.

"I don't know what took us so long to get here," Kirkpatrick admitted with a chuckle. "We've been here eight years now, and it's just a beautiful town."

The decision to relocate was not made lightly. Kirkpatrick and his wife weighed their options carefully, considering various factors such as their son, Nash, who was born in Nashville in 2017.

"His name is Nash, of all things," Kirkpatrick said with a laugh. "And he really loves the town. I think sometimes he gets upset with my wife and I when he knows that we lived in Orlando, right by Disney World."

However, the allure of Nashville extended beyond its picturesque surroundings. Kirkpatrick was drawn to the city's vibrant music scene and its welcoming community.

"I'm talking about the experience," he explained. "I'm talking about what we get in the whole package that is Nashville."

Kirkpatrick emphasized the warmth and kindness of the people in Music City. He recalled his experiences during his early visits to Nashville while *NSYNC was at the height of its fame.

"I thought we were back in our 'MTV days getting 'Punk'd' when we used to come up here and visit and hang out with friends," Kirkpatrick said. "We're like, 'Why is everyone so nice?'"

Compared to other places he has lived, Kirkpatrick found the people of Nashville to be exceptionally friendly and accommodating. He and his wife, who describe themselves as "nice" people, have always encountered a welcoming atmosphere in Music City.

"Even if Nashville were horrible," Kirkpatrick said, "it would still be an amazing town because of the people. But it's [not], you know. It's got all this other great stuff to it."

Kirkpatrick's move to Nashville has not only provided him with a sense of belonging but has also enriched his musical career. He has found ample opportunities to collaborate with talented musicians and explore new creative endeavors.

"There's just so much opportunity here," Kirkpatrick said. "I mean, if you're a musician, this is the place to be."

Despite the challenges of balancing his career and family life, Kirkpatrick has embraced the Nashville lifestyle wholeheartedly. He is grateful for the experiences he and his family have had in Music City and has no regrets about his decision to make it their home.

"We're very happy here," Kirkpatrick said. "We love the town, we love the people, we love the music scene. It's just a great place to raise a family."

As Kirkpatrick continues to navigate the world of music and fatherhood, Nashville remains his steadfast anchor, providing him with a vibrant creative outlet and a loving, supportive community.
