Hundreds of students gathered for a faith-based rally organized by current and former Ohio State football players, where dozens were baptized and Bibles were distributed.

Former Ohio State wide receiver Kamryn Babb, the mastermind behind a recent faith-based event on campus, spoke about the significance of students congregating for prayer and baptisms. Ohio State University football players congregated hundreds of attendees for a campus rally last weekend, engaging in prayer and worship, with dozens choosing to embrace the Christian faith through baptism.

"This event's ultimate goal was to share the true joy and peace that I firmly believe can only be found in Jesus Christ, and to bring it to the campus and Columbus," Babb, the event organizer, shared on "Fox & Friends" Thursday.

"God is present here. He is an active God who is pursuing the hearts of men and women of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life."

Current Buckeye team players involved in organizing the event brought 10,000 Bibles to distribute, sharing how their faith had strengthened their bond as a team.

Wide receiver Emeka Egbuka, running back TreVeyon Henderson, tight end Gee Scott, defensive end J.T. Tuimoloau, and former team running back Master Teague were among the speakers.

Babb expressed his amazement at the presence of God on the Columbus campus, where over 50 baptisms took place. He was "honored to witness the movement of my Lord and my Savior," as people sought solace and hope in Jesus' love.

"He delivered. He saved. And he healed many broken people, just like I was my entire life before I met him," Babb said.

"The message I share with the world and the students on campus, young and old, is to repent of your sins and put your faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ because it has the power to save men and women," he added. "He declares that those who believe in his name and what he accomplished on the cross have the privilege of becoming children of God. And so, as we extend this invitation to countless hurting and lost individuals looking for hope and love, we encourage them to look beyond themselves and recognize that God is the ultimate source."

"Put your faith in Jesus... and you will experience a love, peace, and joy that the world, no person, no touchdown, or anything else can offer."

Local churches collaborated in organizing the event. According to local reports, between 800 and 1,000 people were present, while Babb's mother reported more than 2,000 attendees on social media.

"Whatever challenges you face in life — regardless of your past — I assure you that God cares about you," Babb proclaimed to the crowd. "Tonight, as we worship, we pray that you would experience God's perspective of you. Let us glorify Him as we embark on this incredible journey."

Babb was a team captain in 2021 and 2022 and a four-time scholar-athlete.
