Mississippi Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin poked fun at LSU's Brian Kelly after the Tigers' coach's emotional outburst following Sunday's loss to USC.
In the wake of LSU's frustrating loss to USC, head coach Brian Kelly's fiery table-pounding display has become a hot topic in the college football world. Lane Kiffin, the head coach of the No. 6-ranked Ole Miss Rebels, couldn't resist adding a touch of humor to the situation.
Taking to Twitter, Kiffin shared a lighthearted message directed at Kelly, suggesting that perhaps the beleaguered coach could use a refreshing beverage and a smile to ease his frustrations.

"Maybe you just need a @CokeZero and a (smile)," Kiffin tweeted.
Kiffin's jest came amid a celebratory atmosphere for Ole Miss, who had just crushed Football Championship Subdivision opponent Furman with a dominant 76-0 victory. Quarterback Jaxson Dart shone with 418 passing yards and five touchdowns, while backup Austin Simmons also contributed with 111 passing yards and a touchdown.

LSU, on the other hand, faced a much tougher task against USC. Trojans quarterback Miller Moss orchestrated a crucial touchdown drive in the dying seconds of the game, leaving Kelly fuming at his team's inability to close out the contest.
"We had some guys play their butts off tonight, and we’re sitting here again – we’re sitting here again talking about the same things! About not finishing when you have an opponent in a position to put them away," Kelly lamented after the game. "And I’m so angry about it that I’ve gotta do something about it. I’m not doing a good enough job as a coach, and I’ve gotta coach them better because it’s unacceptable for us not to have found a way to win this football game. It’s ridiculous."

While Kelly grapples with his team's disappointing start, Kiffin's Rebels will look to maintain their momentum when they face the Tigers on October 12. The matchup promises to be an intriguing clash between two SEC West rivals.
