Former NBA star Charles Barkley criticized the New Orleans Pelicans for their poor performance in Game 3 of their playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, saying they deserve to be sent to Galveston, Texas, instead of Cancun, Mexico.

Charles Barkley has never been one to mince words, and he didn't hold back after the New Orleans Pelicans' embarrassing 106-85 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of their playoff series on Saturday night.

Barkley, who was working as an analyst for TNT, said the Pelicans played with no heart or effort, and that they deserved to be sent to the dirtiest beach town in the country: Galveston, Texas.

"Where they going, Chuck?" asked Barkley's fellow analyst, Shaquille O'Neal.

"Galveston," Barkley replied without hesitation. "That dirty a-- water. We not even gonna send them to Cancun. We're gonna send them to Galveston where that dirty a-- water be washing up on the shore. You people think they're at the beach."

Barkley continued his rant, saying that the Pelicans didn't even try, and that they deserved to be sent to the worst possible place imaginable.

"We ain't sending you to Cancun. Y'all quit. Y'all get down to Galveston. C'mon man. They didn't even try, man. We ain't giving them no plane ticket to the beach. We send their a-- to Galveston, Texas, right where that dirty water washes up on the beach. They can't even get in the water."

The Pelicans have been one of the most disappointing teams in the NBA this season, and their performance in Game 3 was the latest example of their struggles. The Thunder, on the other hand, have been a surprise team all season, and they are now just one win away from advancing to the second round of the playoffs.

If the Thunder can win Game 4 on Monday night, they will face the winner of the series between the Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks. The Clippers currently lead that series, 2-1.

The Pelicans, meanwhile, will be left to wonder what could have been. They had high hopes for this season, but they have been unable to live up to expectations. Now, they are facing a long offseason and a lot of questions about their future.
