Pokémon Go's Shared Skies Season: Dive into the Slumbering Sands Event

Niantic is pulling out all the stops for the upcoming Shared Skies season in Pokémon Go, commencing with the anticipated Slumbering Sands event. Taking place from June 7th to 12th, this event invites players to embark on a relaxing questline with a focus on sleepy Pokémon.

The highlight of the Slumbering Sands event is the appearance of costumed Pokémon. Slakoth, Vigoroth, and Slaking will be donning trendy visors, offering players the opportunity to capture unique variants. Furthermore, their Shiny forms will also be introduced, adding to the excitement.

During the event, players will receive double the usual XP for catching Pokémon, making it an ideal time to enhance their Pokémon collection and level up. Wild encounters will feature an array of Pokémon known for their laid-back demeanor, such as Psyduck, Slowpoke, Drowzee, and Mareep.

In addition to catching Pokémon, players can immerse themselves in a series of event-themed quests. Field Research tasks will grant opportunities to capture costumed Slakoth and the elusive Komala. Other Pokémon from the event's lineup will also be featured in these quests.

Owners of Pokémon Go Plus+ devices will have exclusive access to a special Timed Research. By syncing their devices, they can complete quests that reward them with Stardust and encounters with Snorlax wearing a nightcap, Slakoth with a visor, and Komala.

For those willing to spend, a paid Timed Research is available for $2.00. This research provides access to the Komala backpack avatar item, Stardust, Silver Pinap Berries, and special encounters.

A Collection Challenge will test players' ability to collect all the event-themed Pokémon. Completing the challenge will reward players with valuable in-game items.
