Biden even complimented Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi on his suit, saying, "Looking good, Nathan."

After Biden gave a few remarks about the Rangers' championship season, manager Bruce Bochy presented him with a customized jersey. Biden then held up the jersey and posed for a photo. Bochy also gave the president a pair of cowboy boots.

"You're supposed to put on the jersey," Bochy said.

Biden laughed and put on the jersey. He then posed for a few more photos with the players.

After the photo op, Biden took a few questions from the media. He was asked about his thoughts on the Rangers' season and their chances of repeating as World Series champions.

"I think they have a great team," Biden said. "They've got a lot of young talent, and they're playing with a lot of confidence. I think they have a good chance of repeating."

Biden was also asked about his own baseball skills. He admitted that he's not a very good player, but he said he enjoys watching the game.

"I'm not much of a hitter," Biden said. "But I love to watch baseball. I think it's a great game."

After the Q&A, Biden and the Rangers players posed for a group photo. The president then shook hands with each player and thanked them for coming to the White House.

The Rangers defeated the Arizona Diamondbacks in five games last year to claim the franchise's first World Series title. Shortstop Corey Seager was the series MVP.

The Rangers entered Thursday in third place in the AL West. They are 64-60 this season and trail the first-place Houston Astros by 10 games.
