Prince Harry Faces Uncertain Future After Tell-Alls, Says Royal Expert

Prince Harry's future in the royal family remains uncertain following a series of tell-all interviews, a Netflix docuseries, and a memoir that have caused significant tension with his family. While Harry is set to visit London for the Invictus Games, experts believe his relationship with the royals is strained and that he may face limited support from senior members.

Prince Harry's decision to publicly air grievances about his life as a royal has cast a shadow over his future within the British monarchy. After quitting royal duties in 2020 and moving to California with his wife, Meghan Markle, Harry has engaged in a series of public revelations that have caused a deep rift with his family.

In 2021, Harry and Meghan sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a bombshell interview that drew a global audience of 50 million. The couple detailed their experiences of racism and unbearable intrusions from the British media, which they cited as reasons for their departure.

Subsequently, Harry released a six-part docuseries on Netflix in 2022, followed by a memoir titled "Spare" in 2023. Both productions further detailed Harry's strained relationship with the royal family, particularly with his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William.

Royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes that Harry's actions have severe consequences. "Prince Harry is suffering the consequences of his actions," Schofield told Fox News Digital. "Harry does not take responsibility for the tsunami of hurt he has caused his family. The king sees this very clearly."

Harry's attendance at his father's coronation in May 2023 was brief, and he left immediately after the ceremony to return to the U.S. for his son's birthday. According to Schofield, King Charles is willing to spend time with his younger son but remains guarded in protecting his loved ones.

"The king is happy to spend time with his youngest son but will remain guarded to protect the people that he loves and who have shown him unconditional loyalty," Schofield said. "Harry will always have access to his father, but the trust is long gone."

Harry's relationship with his brother, Prince William, has also been severely strained. During the king's coronation, the brothers were never seen speaking or acknowledging each other. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams believes it is unlikely that the two will have peace talks.

"It is very unlikely that there will be peace talks between the brothers," Fitzwilliams told Fox News Digital. "There is still great, simmering anger there."

Despite the strained relationships, Harry is set to visit London for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, a Paralympic-style event he founded for injured military veterans. However, experts believe that senior members of the royal family will not attend the event to support Harry.

"There will be no senior members of the royal family to support Prince Harry," Schofield said. "Harry does not take responsibility for the tsunami of hurt he has caused his family."

Harry's wife, Meghan Markle, will reportedly not join him in the U.K. for the Invictus Games. Schofield believes that Markle's unpopularity in Britain and the couple's attacks on the Commonwealth in their Netflix series contributed to her decision not to attend.

"Meghan tells friends that she does not feel welcome or comfortable in the U.K.," Schofield said. "I know that their popularity has seen a severe decline in Britain, but I also know that Meghan would be treated with kindness if she opted to attend. I am surprised that Meghan would not want to appear alongside Prince Harry to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games."

Despite the challenges, royal expert Hilary Fordwich believes that the king remains hopeful for eventual peace talks between the families. "No father wants to lose a son," Fordwich said. "The king is disappointed but not holding a grudge."
