Marking her second public appearance since her cancer diagnosis, Kate Middleton will be attending the men's singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday. Following her first appearance at Trooping the Colour, this event will be a significant step in the princess's return to public life.
Princess Kate Middleton's attendance at the men's singles final at Wimbledon on Sunday will mark her second public appearance since she announced her cancer diagnosis in March. Kensington Palace confirmed the princess's plans, which come after her return to public duties last month for Trooping the Colour, the king's official birthday celebration.
Prior to Trooping the Colour, Middleton's last public event was her attendance at church services in Sandringham on Christmas Day. Speculation followed her withdrawal from public duties after she underwent planned abdominal surgery in January, leading to her announcement of preventative chemotherapy in a personal video in March.

In a heartfelt note shared on her Instagram page ahead of Trooping the Colour in June, Middleton expressed her gratitude for the support she had received and acknowledged the challenges of her treatment. "I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty," she wrote. "Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal."
The princess also indicated that her treatment would continue for several months. Her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, were spotted at Wimbledon earlier this month without their daughter. Last year, Middleton, a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club Wimbledon, presented trophies to both the men's and women's singles finalists.

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich had previously predicted Kate's attendance at Wimbledon after Trooping the Colour. "As the most avid tennis fan and patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, she usually attends in the Royal Box to watch most major matches, later handing out trophies to winners," Fordwich said.
However, Kate will not be presenting the trophy to the ladies' singles winner on Saturday. According to a statement from the club, "At the request of Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales, Patron of The All England Lawn Tennis Club, the trophies will be presented on court by Deborah Jevans CBE, Chair of The All England Lawn Tennis Club."

King Charles III, who is also undergoing treatment for cancer, has resumed his public duties since April. Kate's appearance at Wimbledon is a testament to her resilience and her gradual return to public life while continuing her treatment.
