The 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship bracket has been unveiled, setting the stage for an unprecedented tournament with a record-breaking number of teams hailing from the Southeastern Conference (SEC). A staggering 11 SEC teams have earned bids to the tournament, eclipsing the previous high of nine set by the conference in 2018.

The SEC's dominance is evident throughout the bracket, with three teams seeded among the top 16: No. 2 Arkansas, No. 3 Georgia, and No. 14 Tennessee. The conference also boasts five teams in the top 25, including No. 11 Auburn, No. 13 Florida, and No. 15 LSU.

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is the only other conference with multiple teams among the top 16, sending eight representatives to the tournament. No. 1 Louisville leads the ACC contingent, followed by No. 10 Wake Forest, No. 12 Florida State, and No. 16 Georgia Tech.

The Big 12 Conference has four teams in the field, including No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 8 Texas, No. 22 Baylor, and No. 37 Kansas State. The Big Ten Conference follows closely with three teams: No. 5 Michigan, No. 17 Maryland, and No. 36 Nebraska.

Other notable teams to earn bids include No. 6 Oregon from the Pac-12 Conference, No. 7 Stanford from the Cardinal Classic, and No. 21 Coastal Carolina from the Sun Belt Conference.

The tournament will begin with regional play on June 1-4 at 16 host sites across the country. The top 16 teams will receive automatic bids to the Super Regionals, which will take place on June 8-11. The eight Super Regional winners will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska, from June 14-26.

The 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship promises to be one of the most competitive and thrilling tournaments in recent memory, with some of the top teams in the country vying for the national title. The SEC's record-breaking representation will add an extra layer of intrigue to the tournament as the conference looks to continue its dominance of college baseball.
