Former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush celebrates the implementation of a 12-team College Football Playoff, expressing his belief that it should have been adopted sooner. The ex-USC star also draws parallels between his own recruitment and Team Modelo's current search for the most passionate college football fans.
As the 2024 college football season approaches, the sport's landscape has been transformed by the expansion of the College Football Playoff (CFP) to 12 teams. This long-awaited change has drawn widespread praise, including from former Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush.
Bush, who starred at USC and was part of the Trojans' co-national championship team in 2003, has always advocated for a true playoff system in college football. He believes that the previous four-team format was unfair to deserving teams that missed out due to a single loss.

"With the four-team playoff system, you had to be perfect just to make it," Bush said in an interview with Fox News Digital about Team Modelo's Full-Time Fan Recruiting Contest. "It felt like only Alabama and Georgia could lose one game and still make the playoff system."
The expanded CFP, however, provides a lifeline to top teams that may slip up once during the regular season. Bush acknowledges that chasing perfection is still a goal, as evidenced by the Michigan Wolverines' undefeated campaign last year, but he believes the new format allows more teams to compete for the national title.

This expanded playoff system is reminiscent of the recruiting process that Bush and other college athletes go through. Bush drew parallels between the two, highlighting the importance of standing out and showcasing passion.
"I'm excited to be able to scout and help some of these fans realize a dream to be recognized as the most passionate fan for their schools, to be recruited in the same way that I was recruited to USC," Bush said about Team Modelo's contest.

Bush understands the intensity of the recruitment process firsthand. He advises college fans to submit recruiting videos that showcase their unwavering support and enthusiasm for their teams.
Modelo's Full-Time Fan Recruiting Contest offers a unique opportunity for passionate fans to experience the thrill of being recruited and recognized for their devotion. The contest winners will receive a trip to the 2025 College Football Playoff National Championship Game in Atlanta, where they will meet the Heisman Trophy winner and enjoy exclusive perks.
