Rep. Issa Blasts Surge in Anti-Semitism Within Democratic Party as Biden Fails to Condemn Anti-Israel Protests

Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) has accused the Democratic Party of harboring a growing anti-Semitic sentiment, citing the tepid response from Democrats to recent anti-Israel protests on college campuses. Issa urged President Biden to disavow and reject donations from progressive groups funding these protests, adding that Biden's failure to do so reflects the rise of anti-Semitism within the party.

California Republican Congressman Darrell Issa has vehemently condemned the rise of anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party, citing the tepid response from Democrats to recent anti-Israel protests on college campuses. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Issa expressed deep disappointment with President Biden's failure to address these protests decisively, highlighting it as an indicator of the festering anti-Semitism within the party.

According to Fox News Digital, the anti-Israel protests have been largely organized by groups fueled by progressive donors, including prominent figures such as George Soros. These donors have also contributed to the Democratic Party and Biden's campaigns. Issa emphasized the need for Biden to reject and return these funds, reiterating the message that violence-supporting individuals should not receive financial support.

The lackluster response from Democrats has emboldened anti-Semitism within the party, according to Issa. He highlighted the growth of the progressive faction within the party, known as "The Squad," and their supporters, who have openly endorsed anti-Israel sentiments. This has led to a decline in Democratic support for Israel and an increase in anti-Semitic rhetoric and actions.

Issa expressed dismay at President Biden's failure to take decisive action against the anti-Israel protests. Biden's attempt to appease both sides, Issa argued, reflects the years-long growth of anti-Semitism within the Democratic Party. Biden's belated and watered-down response allowed the protests to escalate, further emboldening anti-Semitic elements.

Issa criticized Biden for waiting nine days before addressing the anti-Israel violence on campus, which allowed the protests to spread unchecked. He emphasized the importance of federal intervention in cases of civil disobedience leading to violence. Had Biden acted promptly, the situation could have been contained before it spiraled out of control.

Drawing parallels to the Kent State University unrest in 1970, Issa expressed concern about the potential for history to repeat itself. The protests against the Vietnam War escalated into violence, and universities across the country were forced to close. Issa warned that the anti-Semitism on college campuses, fueled by elite professors, resembles the situation leading up to the Kent State shootings.

Issa accused the Democratic elite of being complicit in the anti-Semitism on campus by teaching and tolerating it for an extended period. The slow enforcement of campus regulations and the reluctance of governors to take swift action have allowed the situation to worsen.

In contrast to the Democratic response, Issa commended Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin of Virginia for his swift and effective action to quell anti-Israel protests. Youngkin's decisive approach should serve as a model for other governors and law enforcement officials.
